ASHA KIRAN FOUNDATION is the Ray of Hope for orphan, underprivileged and neglected children. It was established in 2008 by a young, dynamic and dedicated social worker Shri Pratap Kumar Pradhan with a view to “Save the girl child and stop female foeticide.”
Asha Kiran Children’s Home is a special home for girl children neglected by their families and the society. In 2008 a home was set up by Shri Pratap Kumar Pradhan with an intention to shelter and nourish the abandoned little girl children who were the innocent victims of a communal riot in Kandhamal. The Home is a special project of the Asha Kiran Foundation, a Trust duly registered under the Indian Trust Act,1882. It has applied for registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 as well as under Sections 12AA and 80-G of the Income tax Act,1960 for tax exemption for donations. Initially, the Foundation adopted 10 children in 2008 and gradually the number has grown to 21.
