An Asha Kiran Update
Amongst several deadlines looming, I figured the most productive way to procrastinate would be to write an Asha Kiran Orphanage project update! Although sometimes the progress seems slow, as I look back at the last six weeks, we are making a lot of headway on our list of initiatives. More importantly, every time we head to the orphanage it gets easier and easier to interact with the girls, and there is less shyness and icebreaking at the beginning of every visit. They call all of us girls “Didi” which means older sister, and the boys “Bhai” which means brother 🙂
